# Configure and Test triPOS Integrations

This article explains how to set up and test your triPOS integration with Payrix Pro.

## Test triPOS Transactions

The process for testing triPOS transactions differs between sandbox and production environments:

- **Sandbox testing:** You must test triPOS transactions separately from Payrix Pro. triPOS transactions processed through the Express platform will not appear in the Payrix Pro sandbox environment. For more details on sandbox testing, see [Test Card-Present Transactions](https://docs.worldpay.com/apis/payrix/dev-int-guide/direct-payments/submit-a-card-present-payment#test-card-present-transactions) in the Payrix Pro developer documentation.
- **Production testing:** You can perform end-to-end testing using a merchant ID (MID) designated for testing. In production, triPOS transaction data flows from Express into Payrix Pro, enabling full reporting and reconciliation.

> [!WARNING]
> Important!
>
> Transactions processed through Express, including triPOS, are imported into Payrix Pro the day after a successful batch out during the Express data sync. Card-present transaction authorizations appear in real time on the [Terminal Transactions](/v1/docs/terminal-transactions-partners)****page.
>
> After the Express sync completes, these transactions follow standard transaction funding and reporting data flows, and you can access the updated details on the [Payment History](/docs/payment-history-partners) page.

To test in production:

1. Retrieve your Express credentials for triPOS transaction processing. See the [Obtain Express Credentials](/v1/docs/integrate-tripos#obtain-express-credentials) section for details.
2. Run triPOS transactions using your merchant account. See the [triPOS documentation](https://docs.worldpay.com/apis/tripos) for details.
3. Link the transactions to your system for reconciliation. See the [Reconcile Transactions](/v1/docs/integrate-tripos#reconcile-transactions) section for details.

### Obtain Express Credentials

To run triPOS transactions, you need a set of Express credentials for each merchant that processes card-present payments. To obtain your Express credentials from the Payrix Pro Portal:

1. Select **Merchants** under Management in the left navigation panel.
2. Select a merchant to view their profile.
3. Under **Account Overview**, select **Platform IDs**.
4. In the **VCore Platform IDs**section, copy values in the **Account Token**, **Account ID**, **Acceptor ID**, and **Default Terminal ID** fields.

With these credentials, you can now process triPOS transactions.

### Reconcile Transactions

To link a terminal transaction to your system for reconciliation, you need the Express transaction ID or the reference number associated with the original triPOS transaction.

To obtain these values:

1. Select **Payment History** under Payments in the left navigation panel.
2. Click **Terminal Transactions** in the upper-right corner of the page.
3. Select a terminal transaction to view details for that transaction.
4. If the terminal transaction is settled (in other words, has a transaction associated with it for funding and reporting), then select **Terminal Transaction** at the bottom of the page.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note**
>
> If you have a real-time authorization feed configured for your platform, you can view the triPOS transactions in real time before they’re settled.
5. Find the values in the following fields for reconciliation:
  - **Gateway Transaction ID:** The Expression transaction ID associated with the triPOS transaction
  - **Customer Reference Number:** The reference number associated with the triPOS transaction

With one of these values, you can map the transaction in Payrix Pro back to the triPOS transaction.

#### Fields Mapped from Express Gateway to Payrix Pro Gateway

The following table lists the fields that are mapped to the Payrix Pro gateway through the Express gateway:

| Express Gateway Field | Payrix Pro Gateway Field |
| --- | --- |
| Customer Reference Number | Customer Discretionary Field 1 |
| Customer Ticket Number | Customer Discretionary Field 2 |
| Convenience Fee | Fee Listener Field |

> [!NOTE]
> Note
>
> The **Order Number** field for Express does not map to the Payrix Pro **Order Number**field.

## Configure Express Batch Close Time

A merchant’s daily transaction settlement batch can be configured to stop including additional authorizations, captures, or sales after a specified time based on the merchant’s preferences and workflows. This is often referred to as configuring a *batch close time.*Batch close times determine when the daily transaction batch will be sent to the processor for settlement, allowing the captured funds to be fully processed and credited to the merchant’s platform account balance.

Using the triPOS Express Gateway integration with Payrix Pro, card-present transactions processed by integrated merchants using the triPOS Express Gateway can also be modified to have a custom daily batch close time for inclusion in that day’s batch settlement. This batch type is called an *Express Batch*.

You can change a merchant’s daily Express Batch close time without logging in to the Express Gateway directly. To change a merchant’s Express Batch close time:

1. Select **Merchants** under Management in the left navigation panel.
2. Select the merchant to access their profile page.
3. Select the **Account** tab and then click **Edit**next to the tab.
4. Scroll down to **Express Batch Close Method** and select **Time Initiated** from the dropdown menu.
5. Under **Express Batch Close Time**, set your preferred daily settlement batch close time. This time value is based on the Central Time zone.

> [!TIP]
> **Tip**
>
> To provide the best merchant experience for daily reconciliation alongside other daily transaction types from other card-not-present payments, **set 9:00 PM as the Express Batch Close Time**.
6. Click the **Confirm**icon next to the tab title to update your merchant’s daily transaction settlement batch close time.

A secure payment integration platform from Worldpay that reduces PCI scope for business software applications. triPOS is compatible with many devices and connects authorization providers with a broad suite of transaction protocols.

A gateway used by Payrix Pro for triPOS integrations. All transactions flow through this gateway, which serves as the processing engine behind all Worldpay APIs. Designed as a routing gateway for both Worldpay acquired and non-acquired merchants, Express enables developers certifying to Express APIs to integrate payment solutions with the processor of a merchant’s choice. Worldpay's server-side, web service payment applications use secure point-to-point encryption and tokenization methods.
