# Pass Debit Interchange Costs as a Merchant Fee

You can pass 100% of the interchange costs for merchant debit transactions by adding a separate 100% interchange fee assessed to your merchants.

You can set up interchange fees at either the Group or merchant level from the **Fees** menu on the [Group Profile](/v1/docs/group-profile-partners#group-profile-page-features) page or the [Merchant Profile](/v1/docs/fees-merchant-profile-partners) page.

## Add an Interchange Fee to a Group

To add an interchange fee to merchants in a Group:

1. Select **Groups**in the left navigation panel.
2. Locate the group in the table and select any information in the table row to open the Group’s profile page.
3. Select **FEES**in the list of tabs on the left side of the page.
4. Click **Add Fee**in the upper-right corner of the page.
5. Select **Interchange** from the **When to trigger the fee?**dropdown menu.
6. Under **How much is the fee?**, select **Percentage.**
7. Enter **100.00** in the **Amount** field for 100% of the interchange fee.

8. Click **ADVANCED OPTIONS**to open the Advanced section.
9. Click the **Conditional Rules** dropdown menu and select **Payment Card Type is**.
10. In the dropdown menu that appears to the right of the Conditional Rules dropdown menu, select **Debit**.
11. Click **Add**to complete the process.

The merchant group is now set up with a fee structure that covers 100% of the interchange costs charged to you by Worldpay for Platforms for debit transactions, directly reimbursing you.

## Add an Interchange Fee to a Merchant

To apply a specific Interchange Fee configuration to a single merchant:

1. Select **Merchants**in the left navigation panel.
2. Locate the merchant in the table and select any information in the table row to open the merchant’s profile page.
3. Complete steps 3 and later from the previous section.

An entity that can process transactions and has been onboarded through a Payrix Pro partner.

A fee paid by a payments platform (acquiring bank) to a cardholder’s bank (issuing bank) whenever a credit or debit card transaction is processed. This fee is set by the card networks (such as Visa and Mastercard) and varies based on the type of card used, the transaction amount, the type of merchant, and the risk involved.

For example, rewards on a credit card result in a higher fee. Level 2 and Level 3 transactions result in lower fees.
