# Reset Your Password

If you forget the password for your portal account, you can reset it to regain access to your account. Follow these steps to reset your password:

1. Navigate to [https://test-portal.payrix.com](https://test-portal.payrix.com) or [https://portal.payrix.com](https://portal.payrix.com/) and click **Forgot Password?**
2. Enter the email address associated with your account, and click **Send code**.
3. Complete one of the following using the password reset email you received:
  - Click the link provided in the password reset email.
  - Enter the code and username from the password reset email into the password reset form.
4. Enter a new password and click **Change password** to complete the process.

> **Notes**
> 
> - As a password complexity requirement, you cannot reuse any of your five previously used passwords.
> - If you also lose the device used for your multifactor authentication (MFA) login, you’ll need to reset your [MFA enrollment](/v1/docs/use-case-complete-multifactor-authentication-mfa-enrollment).
