# Sandbox Simulators

Ensure your Payrix Pro integration offers a seamless payment experience by testing and configuring common response handling on each platform. Vantiv and Vantiv Core (VCore) platforms use custom Payrix Pro configurations called **simulators** to replicate typical production responses in the Sandbox environment. You can activate each simulator by giving a parameter the corresponding value, called a **trigger**.

These Sandbox simulators enable testing scenarios that aren’t normally possible due to responses required from Vantiv or Vantiv Core (VCore) platforms or the Payrix Pro Underwriting Team.
