You can enhance the clarity of merchant bank statements by adding a secondary descriptor to a Merchant, Group, or Withdrawal Schedule. This optional field appears at the end of the payout descriptor, just before the Merchant Name, and helps you or your Merchants easily identify and tell their disbursements apart.
Notes
Secondary descriptors are limited to the Vantiv (VAP) platform.
Secondary descriptors appear on Merchant bank statement entries for payouts and negative disbursements (account charges), not on customer cardholder statements.
Customer cardholder statements use the Merchant’s DBA or Legal Name if DBA is not provided.
Each descriptor can have a maximum of 15 characters.
