triPOS: Supported Terminals

Each type of triPOS integration supports different sets of payment terminals. These terminals must be ordered by a Payrix Pro Partner directly through an approved key injection facility (KIF).

Partners can order triPOS-compatible terminals through the following approved KIFs:

• POS Portal (A ScanSource Company)

• Ingram Micro

• JR's P.O.S. Depot

• Bluestar

• POS Data

• UCP, Inc.

Below is a list of triPOS-compatible terminals and their minimum triPOS software versions required for enablement. Each terminal provides a different level of supported features. Click on any listed terminal to view a Supported Feature matrix for that terminal.

Note

All listed terminals that support triPOS Direct also support triPOS Cloud integration by default.

Compatible Legacy Devices

The following terminals are no longer being manufactured and have reached end-of-life. As a result, we do not recommend beginning a new integration with these terminals but do offer limited support for existing partners with the terminal hardware implemented in their current solution.

BBPOS Chipper 2X BT

The BBPOS Chipper 2X BT is a compact and versatile payment terminal offering reliable and secure mobile POS for various transaction environments.

BBPOS Chipper 3X BT

Ingenico AXIUM DX8000

Ingenico IPP320

The Ingenico IPP320 is a compact countertop payment terminal known for its reliability, ease of use, and secure transaction experience for Merchants.

Ingenico IPP350

Ingenico iSC250

Ingenico iSC Touch 480

The Ingenico iSC Touch 480 is a powerful payment terminal designed for high-performance requirements, ensuring secure and efficient transactions in demanding environments.

Ingenico iSMP4 (V1 and V2)

The iSMP4 is part of Ingenico's Mobile smart payments. It is a lightweight mobile unit with an option to have a barcode scanner.

Note

To use the iSMP4 V2, which requires a later software version than the V1, anyone ordering or using a new iSMP4 device must be on the following versions of TriPOS:

• TriPOS Direct 6.1.0 or later

• TriPOS Mobile Android

• TriPOS Mobile iOS 2.0.0 or later

• TriPOS Cloud

Comparable Devices

Merchants can continue to upgrade the iSMP4 terminal hardware and local triPOS software. However, we recommend upgrading to a newer comparable device such as the Link 2500 or the Move 5000 with added support not found in the Ingenico iSMP4 V1 or V2 hardware.

Ingenico retired the iSMP4 V1 after releasing a V2 to adhere to the new industry standards for battery-powered devices. iSMP4 V1 units are in inventory until depleted. Then, all following orders will ship with the V2 version. Merchants who want to continue using the iSMP4 terminal with the V2 hardware inventory must upgrade to the appropriate version of TriPOS (listed below). 

Note

Recertification for the V2 hardware is not required unless the triPOS software version is out-of-date or not supported. In this case, an update for the triPOS software version will be required followed by recertification. We recommend updating your triPOS software version before enabling V2 hardware.

Merchants requiring recertification to integrate or certify a new device must contact their Partner Experience Manager to begin the process.

Ingenico iUC285 

The iUC285 is part of Ingenico's iSelf Series. It is designed to be built into a Kiosk as an unattended solution.

The following table lists the supported features and triPOS support info for the Ingenico iUC285.

triPOS Direct: v5.21 or later is required to support this terminal.

Ingenico Lane 3000

The Lane 3000 is part of Ingenico's Tetra device line. It's a mid-sized PIN pad good for countertop sales.

Ingenico Lane 3600

The Lane 3600 is part of Ingenico's Tetra device line. Ideal for retail and hospitality businesses.

Ingenico Lane 5000

The Lane 5000 is part of Ingenico's Tetra device line. It has a large touch screen with signature capture.

Ingenico Lane 7000

The Lane 7000 is part of Ingenico's Tetra device line. It has a large Multimedia touchscreen.

Ingenico Lane 8000

The Lane 8000 is part of Ingenico's Tetra device line. It has a large Multimedia touchscreen.

Ingenico Link 2500

The Link 2500 is part of Ingenico's Mobile smart payments. It is a lightweight, pocket-sized Mobile device.

TriPOS Direct: 5.22 (or later) or TriPOS Mobile: Android 1.5.0 (or later), iOS 2.0.0 (or later) is required to support this terminal.

Ingenico Moby 5500

The Moby 5500 is a compact PIN-on-Mobile-ready payment terminal that supports EMV chip & PIN, magstripe, and NFC/contactless payments, designed for seamless integration with smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth or USB, making it ideal for mobile and flexible checkout environments. Ideal for retail, hospitality, and field services.

The following table lists the supported features and triPOS support info for the Ingenico Moby 5500.

Ingenico Move 5000

The Move 5000 is part of Ingenico's Tetra device line. It is designed for both indoor and outdoor use.

TriPOS Direct: 5.22 (or later) or TriPOS Mobile: Android 1.5.0 (or later), iOS 2.0.0 (or later) is required to support this terminal.

Ingenico Self 4000

The Ingenico Self 4000 is an all-in-one payment terminal for self-service, supporting magstripe, EMV chip, NFC/contactless, and QR code payments. Ideal for vending, kiosks, parking, retail, and hospitality.

triPOS Direct: v5.21 or later is required to support this terminal.

Verifone MX915

The Verifone MX series offers a color touch screen.

Important!

The Verifone MX series is no longer being manufactured and sold by Verifone. The device is still supported. However, Merchants are advised to consider newer options and recertification with the Developer Integrations team.

Verifone MX925

The Verifone MX series offers a color touch screen.

Important!

The Verifone MX series is no longer being manufactured and sold by Verifone. The device is still supported. However, Merchants are advised to consider newer options and recertification with the Developer Integrations team.
