You can configure splits for income, expenses, or both with a merchant or group by setting up profit sharing. Profit sharing splits any income or expense between entities. This tutorial shows you how to set up a profit share for an individual merchant and a group.

Set Up a Profit Share
Ensure that you complete the prerequisites and all steps in a section to enable that profit share type.
Prerequisites
Before attempting this tutorial, you must:

Set Up a Profit Share for a Group of Merchants
Complete all steps in the following sections.
Open the Group Profile
Click GROUPS in the left navigation panel to open the Groups page.
Locate the group in the table and select any information in the table row to open the Group Profile page.
Add a Profit Share to the Group Profile
Click PROFIT SHARES in the list of tabs on the left side of the page.
Click the ADD PROFIT SHARE button in the upper-right corner of the page to open the Add a Profit Share dialog on the page.
Select the type of profit share from the Type dropdown menu. Choose from the following:
Income
Expense
Both
Enter a percentage amount in the Amount field.
(Optional) Enter a name for the new profit share in the Name field.
Select the user ID for the profit-sharing entity from the Login dropdown menu. This is the user ID that is used by the profit-sharing entity to log in to the portal.
(Optional) Enter a description of the new profit share in the Description field.
Click ADD to save the new profit share.
Result: The new profit share is active and visible in the group profile Profit Shares tab. The profit share automatically triggers with the activity of the associated merchants.
Set Up a Profit Share for an Individual Merchant
Complete all steps in the following sections.
Open the Merchant Profile
Click MERCHANTS in the left navigation panel to open the Merchants page.
Locate the merchant in the table and select any information in the table row to open the Merchant Profile page.
Add a Profit Share to the Merchant Profile
Complete all steps listed in the Add a Profit Share to the Group Profile section.
Result: The new profit share is active and visible in the merchant profile Profit Shares tab. The profit share automatically triggers with the activity of the associated merchant.
