How To - Use Search & Sort-By to Filter Portal Tables
This guide will show you how to utilize the SEARCH dropdown and Bar and SORT BY dropdown to quickly and more easily locate your desired Portal table entries.
Within the Portal, there are multiple pages containing lists of information, including; Payment History, Merchants, and Reports. As new entries are added, these lists will grow in which case it will be helpful to filter or organize the information based on preference or need.
To do this, the Portal offers SEARCH and SORT BY functions. These features can work together or separately to help you quickly locate a specific entry or group of entries.
Use the SEARCH Dropdown and Bar to narrow the entries in the list based on the criteria selected or entered.

Use SORT BYDropdown to list the entries in order based on the selection.
(Located in the upper left of Portal tables.)
Below are some use cases of the SEARCH and/or SORT BY features available for Portal tables.
Payment History
Located under Payments > Payments History, this page displays a table of all transactions, defaulting to display in order from most recent to oldest.
To search for specific entries within the Payment History table, use the SEARCH and SORT BY functions presented on the page. See examples below:
How to Search for a Transaction by Card Number

Step 1: Click the SEARCH dropdown next to the search bar in the upper right corner of the table and select “Payment”.
Note: After selecting “Payment”, click outside the search dropdown to set the selection.
Step 2: In the SEARCH bar, enter last 4 digits of the card number or ACH debit account and use the magnifying glass to start the search.
Result: The returned list will display payments in order of payment method type. (This order can also be re-sorted inversely by clicking on the column header “Payments”.)
Note: This search function will retrieve ANY payment methods whose whole number contains the search term.

This may also create confusion when with trying to locate a specific transaction, especially in cases where more than one transaction was made from the same customer & payment method.
Tip: To better filter your search results, you may need to define more search terms by selecting another parameter (such as Customer”) from the SEARCH dropdown and defining the specific customer you’re looking for.
How to Search for Transaction by Status

Step 1: Click the SEARCH dropdown next to the SEARCH bar in the upper right corner of the table and select “Status”.
Note: After selecting “Status”, click outside the search dropdown to the set the selection.
Step 2: Select the pre-defined Transaction Status from the table SEARCH bar (now displaying a dropdown), and click the magnifying glass to initiate your search:
Note: You must use the magnifying glass to initiate the search.
Making a selection and/or pressing Enter will not initiate the search alone.
Result: Your Transactions will be displayed within the table, filtered to only display the chooses “Status” type.
How to Search for Transactions within a Date Range

Step 1: Click the SEARCH dropdown next to the SEARCH bar in the upper right corner of the table.
Step 2: Click the “ADVANCED SEARCH” toggle switch in the drop-down menu, then select “and” next to Rules group toggle.
Step 3: Choose “Created” from the “SEARCH FIELD” options.
Step 4: Select “Greater” from the “Matches” dropdown options.
Step 5: Enter the start date of your date range in YYYY-MM-DD format.
Step 6: Click the “Add Rule” button, then use the same parameters from Step 4, then choose Less from the matches options.
Step 7: Enter the end date of your date range in YYYY-MM-DD format. Then click SEARCH.
Result: The transactions within your desired date range will be listed on the Payments History page and can be sorted and further filtered.
Note: Depending on the length of your date range, it may take a moment for the data to populate while you see a loading animation on-screen.
