What is the Payrix Mobile App?

The Payrix Mobile App enables Merchants to turn a tablet or mobile device into a fully functional card-payment terminal without the hassle of complex integration or backend development. This innovative solution allows Merchants to give their customers a cardholder-facing checkout experience directly on an Android or iOS device.

The Payrix Mobile App can be downloaded for free to any compatible device directly from the Android or Apple App Stores. Once Successfully Boarded to Payrix, Merchants can log in to the Mobile App using their Portal username and password for instant access to the Mobile App solution.

Because this solution is fully integrated with a Merchant’s Payrix account, all transactions performed via the Mobile App will automatically be communicated to the Payrix API and appear on their Portal Payment History page.

The clean Mobile App interface simplifies the checkout process and allows Merchants to easily perform any essential tasks directly on the app.

Key features of the Payrix Mobile App

  • Cardholder-facing checkout experience for swiped or key-entered card payments. See our list of compatible Bluetooth card-readers that require no backend development to use with the Payrix Mobile App.

  • Create pre-set custom tip amounts for the customers to choose from as they check out.

  • Pre-set a standard tax amount for a seamless checkout.

  • Send the customer a payment receipt via SMS text or email.

  • Captures cardholder signature directly on the app.

  • Issue refunds for previous transactions submitted via the Mobile App.

Check out the Payrix Mobile App Quick Start Guide to see how to perform various functions.

What are the Payrix Mobile SDKs?

Our Mobile SDKs were built for Pro Clients with an existing mobile app platform or mobile point-of-sale app that their Merchants are utilizing. Available on both Android and iOS, our Mobile SDKs integrate a Merchant’s mobile app sales directly with their Payrix account, while leaving full control of the look, feel, and design of the payment/checkout experience in the hands of the app developers.

The Mobile SDKs are designed for integration with existing card-present mobile point-of-sale apps and/or e-commerce mobile apps.

Because the Mobile SDKs are fully integrated with a Merchant’s Payrix account, all transactions performed via the Mobile SDKs will automatically be communicated to the Payrix API and appear on their Portal Payment History page.

Key features of the Mobile SDKs

  • Automatically communicates transactions submitted on the Merchant’s existing app to their Payrix account, allowing for seamless transaction management, reporting, and full integration with the Payrix Platform and Portal.

  • Leaves control of the design and user interface in the hands of the app developers allowing for endless customizations to the checkout/payment experience.

  • Supports both card-present & e-commerce mobile apps.

  • Compatible Bluetooth card-readers (“card swipers”) don’t require any backend development to use with the Mobile SDKs.
