Last year, Payrix implemented firewall-based controls to block traffic from sanctioned and high risk countries. Given the elevated threat levels currently associated with sanctioned and high risk countries, we recommend you implement similar controls as well. 

In response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed expansive economic measures that target the core infrastructure of the Russian financial system and major card brands have implemented similar restrictions to suspend their respective Russia operations.
