Terminal Transaction Details

The Terminal Transaction Details page contains information about specific transactions made by customers through your merchants. To access the Terminal Transaction Details page:

  1. Select Payment History in the Payments category in the left navigation panel.

  2. Select Terminal Transactions in the top right corner of the Payment History page.

  3. In the Terminal Transactions table, select any information in a row for a specific transaction to open the Terminal Transaction Details page.

Terminal Transaction Details Panel

The Terminal Transaction Details panel contains an overview of information about the transaction and access to the associated merchant’s profile.

The Terminal Transaction Details panel displays the following information:

  • The Payrix Pro-generated terminal transaction ID number.

  • The transaction status.

  • The dollar amount of the transaction.

  • The credit card brand and last four digits associated with the transaction.

  • The date and time that the transaction was performed.

  • The name of the merchant associated with the transaction.

Terminal Transaction Details Panel Actions

Access more information about the merchant associated with the transaction by clicking the merchant name at the lower right corner of the Terminal Transaction Details Panel.

Terminal Transaction Details Box

The Terminal Transaction Details box contains details about the customer and a specific transaction and is located at the bottom of the Terminal Transaction Details page.

Click the tabs on the left side of the Terminal Transaction Details box to view information about a specific topic. The following sections of this page cover descriptions of the contents of each of the tabs:

Customer Tab

The Customer tab contains the following information about the customer associated with the transaction:

  • First Name: The customer’s first name as it appears on the credit card.

  • Last Name: The customer’s last name as it appears on the credit card.

  • Company: The company associated with the customer.

  • Phone: The phone number associated with the customer.

  • Email: The email address associated with the customer.

  • Address: The street address portion of the customer’s billing address.

  • Address 2: Additional street address information associated with the customer’s billing address.

  • City: The city portion of the customer’s billing address.

  • State: The state portion of the customer’s billing address.

  • Zip: The zip portion of the customer’s billing address.

Transaction Tab

The Transaction tab contains the following details about the transaction:

  • ID: The Payrix Pro-generated terminal transaction ID number.

  • Created: The date that the transaction was created.

  • Merchant ID: The Payrix Pro-generated merchant ID number.

  • MID: The Merchant Identification number associated with the transaction.

  • Type: The type of transaction: Sale or Refund.

  • Status: The transaction status.

  • Tender Type: The method of payment for the transaction.

  • Tax: The dollar amount of tax charged on the transaction.

  • Surcharge: An additional fee to cover the total cost of a transaction. Access Understanding Surcharges for more information.

  • Amount: The total dollar amount requested in the transaction.

  • Tip: The tip amount added on to the transaction total.

  • Discount: The discount amount subtracted from the transaction total.

  • Currency: The type of currency.

  • Platform: The host associated with the transaction terminal.

  • Description: A description entered by the merchant.

  • Customer Discretionary Field 3: A description entered by the merchant.

  • Terminal: The Payrix Pro-generated terminal ID number.

  • Gateway Terminal ID: The gateway terminal ID.

  • Transaction: The Payrix Pro-generated transaction ID number.

  • Gateway Transaction ID: The identification number that relates to the Express transaction ID.

  • Customer Ticket Number: The Express ticket number.

  • Customer Reference Number: The Express reference number.

  • Origin: The origin of the transaction.

  • Order Number: The order number associated with the transaction, generated by the merchant.

  • Trace Number: A unique number that identifies the terminal transaction.

  • Authorization: The authorization code for the transaction.

  • Auth Code: The alphanumeric code that indicates whether the transaction was authorized.

  • Auth Date: The date on which the transaction was authorized.

  • POS Application ID: A unique Express assigned identifier.

  • POS Application Name: The name of the software being used in the terminal.

  • POS Application Version: The software version of the application being used in the terminal.

  • Duty: The duty fee applied to the transaction.

Payment Details Tab

The Payment Details tab contains the following information about the credit card associated with the transaction:

  • Last 4: The last four digits of the card associated with the transaction.

  • Card Type: The type of card associated with the transaction.

  • Swiped/Not Swiped: Whether the card was swiped during the transaction.

  • Dipped/Not Dipped: Whether the EMV chip was used during the transaction.

  • Signature: Whether the transaction required a signature.

  • SoftPOS ID: The software point-of-sale (POS) ID.

  • SoftPOS Device Type: The device type of the terminal.

  • Network Transaction ID: The card network transaction ID associated with the transaction.

  • CVV: Whether the correct CVV was sent during the transaction.

  • CVV Status: The status of the CVV on the card.

  • Bank Net Settlement Date: The settlement date associated with the card network.

  • Omnitoken: The Omnitoken associated with the transaction.

  • Omnitoken Expiration Date: The date after which the card associated with the Omnitoken is no longer valid for use in transactions.

  • Descriptor: The billing descriptor that is used when the transaction is part of a subscription.

  • Terminal Classification Code: The terminal classification code.

  • HSA/FSA Card Indicator: Whether the card used in the transaction is a flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA) card.

Additional Tabs

The following are additional tabs that contain other information about the transaction:

  • Notes: Add a note or view details about notes entered by the merchant.
